#2 hook on 1/8 oz. Chub jighead was used in Sourdough Bay this spring and handled 30 inch walleye without bending. Most walleye fishermen in our area prefer the #2 hook (especially using live leeches) on their 1/16 and 1/8 oz jigs.

note* The 574 style hook is also avaliable on many of our jigheads. It has the same wire diameter, bend and hook gap as the 570 but with extra length of the 630 style hooks.

Note: The #630 jig hooks above are longer and stronger (wire diameter) than the #570 hooks of the same size number. The #630's lend themselves nicely to use with rubbertails as the heavier hook shank is hidden by the tails and you can step down a hook size or two while retaining hook strength. The #630 hooks also have a larger diameter eye for use with heavier lines. We have modified most of our molds to accept either hook style where possible.
