We always like to carve a great big jack-o-lantern with ours. We had a lot of media interest this year and I had two TV crews plus a photographer from the local paper in attendance for about two hours while I hollowed out my 449 and did some carving.
It's sometimes fun to have a little contrast, so I took a photo of my biggest pumpkin together with my littlest one. No if only I could learn to get my finger out of the way when taking photos.
So, how many kids can you keep in your pumpkin? Mine liked it pretty well.
I guess I qualify on that count considering everything I have to do to keep my pumpkin plant and pumpkin from freezing on either end of the growing season (heaters, blankets, watching the temperature every 2 hours throughout the night so I can turn on the sprinkler to ward off the frost etc.) I had to see if I could get into it myself. I didn't quite fit, but maybe next year if I can get a 700 pounder (and break the Alberta record ) I'll manage to squeeze inside my pumpkin.
